Yes indeed that is man's best friend in the snow. That is my Licorice...the part black lab/part chou...part spawn of satan that is well just unique. The snow is indeed real...further proof is does indeed snow here. But a black dog in over a foot of snow is shown here for an illustration. Now time to fire away!!

The Shark Tank was left stunned tonight in what could only be described by Dallas fans as The Wrath Of Richards. Brad Richards to be exact. The Sharks played a steady game and led 2-1 after 40 minutes. All signs headed toward a tie in the series. Sharks outshot the Stars 24-17 and outchanced them 15-9. Then there was the accidental gift from Joe Pavelski, Pavelski not only lost his edge but just meekly coughed the puck up to Brad Richards who was point blank in prime scoring range. He didn't miss and just 32 seconds into the third the game was tied. Modano would score the game winner a little over 3 minutes later on the Power Play set up by Richards. Then for good measure, Brad Richards helped set up Niklas Hagman twice more. The final was mercifully 5-2 and when all was said and done...little doubt was left as to who is going to ultimately win this series.

All I could say when I listened to the third period was holy crap and a few other expletives in sort of a disbelief-like fashion. Dallas took advantage of its chances and worse for San Jose, Richards got going. Once he gets going...it is hard to stop him...see 2004 Stanley Cup Playoffs as Exhibit A. This could be very frightening as the series shifts to Dallas. Call 911 San Jose....no margin for error now at all and no way out but up at this point. The classic movie "Which Way Is Up?" comes to mind right now. Tough road but many Cup teams have taken the toughest roads to get to their goal. Time will tell.

Yes there was another game but I wanted to defer to The Ogre's Den on that one. To sum it up...the Penguins played defense...and played it well. I said there would be one or two games like this in the series....call this...one. Both goalies were very good and made a few top notch saves....Fleury stoned Dubinsky a couple times and well Lundqvist stunned Malkin and Crosby quite a few times making them look skyward. Both teams were more conscientious on their back end in the sense that there weren't the second and third chances that you saw in Game 1. In the end, Jordan Staal's power play tally late in the second period held up and Adam Hall added an empty netter to give the Pens a 2-0 win and a 2-0 lead in the best of seven.

Yes both teams had their chances...and quite a few wide open ones...but this was a much tighter effort from the combatants. When the scene shifts on to Broadway...I expect a faster pace and more goal scoring honestly but you never know...stranger things have happened in this playoff so far...and I have a feeling it is only going to get stranger from here on out.

So now with a 1-1 record yesterday...we stand 6 up and 2 down...only 1 game Monday night in Philly...and here goes....

Montreal 4 Philly 3 (OT)

A little adversity never hurt...and the Habs will feed off it...just a hunch.

Enjoy the hockey everyone....and stay cool out there before the playoffs get too hot.
