So what went so right last night? Well, as expected both goalies in the Rangers-Pens game were not all that good. Face it, some of those goals were downright awful. This is kind of what to expect in this series....some occasionally outstanding goaltending mixed with more shaky moments. The offense will mostly dominate but there will be some lower scoring contests....game 2 seems to stick out as a potential lower scoring affair. At any rate, the 5-4 Penguins win left more questions as far as this series goes than answers. Like I said before, there will be quite a few twists and turns in this one before it ends.
Brendan Morrow scored his second goal 4:39 into OT to lift the Stars to a surprise Game 1 win over San Jose. Well it wasn't a surprise to everyone. There is a reason why Morrow is captain of this Stars team. He plays every bit like a younger Mike Modano with grit and determination befitting a champion. Now this series won't be easy by any stretch but this one like the Rangers one has the potential to be a tight one. Expect a really good Game 2.
So this afternoon.....Wings-Avs Part Deux at Noon PT and Philly-Montreal at 4pm PT....now who do we got? Here goes.....
