Well it has been a bit slow but the first round keeps pressing on. The matchup that has some considerable buzz this week is Pensburgh VS. Sens Army. So far at least (at press time), Sens Army has 70% of the vote but keep in mind it is early.

Just read both blogs for a minute....take more than just a once over because both present very good points. I will not reveal who I voted for but I will say this....it was a very tough choice.
Pensburgh is a part of SB Nation and I will say the blog is well informed and has an easy to read format. Fans are given many ways to interact with the bloggers and yes this battle is indeed quite important as we want the people to determine who has the best hockey blog out there. Ballhype, Technorati, and Blogbuzz, and such are all nice but to see the people vote is really cool. That is why we do it to inform the hockey fan of all the great blogs out there that they otherwise may not read. Thanks to Frank on Pensburgh for a little self promotion...always good stuff.
Sens' Army also has its bit of self promotion. How could we know that these two blogs interact frequently with each other? But at any rate, I like the friendly rivalry and Sens' Army is extremely well informed about their team. Ben and Peter really bring it on a daily basis. Tons of serious info mixed with the Google Calendar (extremely humorous yet truthful). All in all, the Sens' Army makes this a very interesting battle indeed.
So as Round 1 continues, go vote today and heap some much deserved appreciation upon these two fine blogs. Thank you.
