Personally I will still draft goalie first no matter what and of course the player I will zero in on is Martin Brodeur. Brodeur is bottom line super consistent. The stats he gets every year makes you an almost lock to rack up fantasy points. Now the big thing in roto is you get max points for placement. That is especially important to concentrate on. Having the best team on paper doesn't always equate to the best roto team. With many variables thrown in....you never do quite know what to expect. But drafting goalie for me is a certainty at this point.
After that, there will likely be a major run on forwards and Nick Lidstrom just for his +/-. You may want to invest in some "goons" as well for PIMS but not too much that it takes away from your team. Offensive categories and goaltending are of highest priority. Basically, get out your dartboard and get ready!
So real quick....if anyone has a roto league and they have any questions...fire some up for us. On Wednesday's archive...we will have a little bit more on this type of league so stay tuned!
