What a night in Phoenix last night!! Patrick Lalime made 38 saves in a 2-1 shootout win for the Hawks over the Coyotes on Bobby Hull night. Hull later signed autographs in the concourse for fans and fans also received a Bobby Hull figurine. The game was very entertaining overall and here are the four ciders for this week's game.

4th cider -- Ed Jovanovski (D) -- Phoenix Coyotes

His five shots led the team but set up several key scoring chances for the Coyotes who just didn't convert them into goals. The fire was in his eyes which is why he got a misconduct with just under :15 left in OT. He was key to the attack....and Phoenix really did deserve a better fate but you couldn't fault Jovocop for his effort last night.

3rd cider -- Peter Mueller (C) -- Phoenix Coyotes

Mueller is one of those great prospects that just seems to be getting better as the season goes on. His power play goal gave Phoenix a short lived 1-0 lead. Mueller has great artistic talent with the puck and is not afraid to shoot either. His shot is deceptively quick and I can only imagine what Phoenix will be like in a year or two from this time especially with players like Mueller.

2nd cider -- Patrick Kane (RW) -- Chicago Blackhawks

Kane not only had the game winning goal in the shootout with was a nice one in itself....but he played a great overall two way game. He also got the primary assist on the power play goal by Brent Seabrook that tied the game. Kane did everything you could ask of a player and then some. No doubt he is a big part in what will be a very good Blackhawks team in years to come.

1st cider -- Patrick Lalime (G) -- Chicago Blackhawks

He stopped 38 of 39 shots and both attempts in the shootout...need I say more??? Probably not. However, he has been in a zone of late for Chicago in place of the slumping Khabibulin. You really can't ask much more and as a result Chicago got a 2 points pretty much because of Lalime. I wonder if some of the Hawks players will buy him dinner tonight.

The Golden Woodchuck Cider goes to.........

The folks from The NHL Arena.....who went to the Coyotes game last night. The I Love LS sign was featured prominently on TV in the second period where I could swear I could see some Arena members trying to lower it quick. You were successful. Have a good weekend to everyone that is there...and do try to drink all the alcohol by Monday...and enjoy the Yotes-Sabres game tomorrow.

Have a good day everyone as the hockey keeps on going and continues tomorrow with Fantasy Hockey 101 and the Monday Ice Water Cooler coming right at you.
