The turkeys proved to be very elusive this week. However, with much hard work and perseverance, we found our three turkeys this week. And of course, here they are...in their full glory. Get those shotguns ready fantasy owners.
Scott Gomez (C) -- New York Rangers
Yeah it has been a depressing two weeks for Gomez owners. One goal and a -5 in five games then to top it off an injury to his ribs which will keep him day to day for a little bit. He is likely out for tonight's game against New Jersey. For awhile, it looked like Gomez was going to easily be over a point a game but his recent struggles have put that notion to shame. It is part of the reason why the Rangers have kind of been up and down lately after that long point streak.
Marc Savard (C) -- Boston Bruins
Any reason why the Bruins have been having trouble lately (aside from the Toronto game)? Look no further than the Bruins' playmaker. A goal in his last 5 games as well..and no power play points could explain the B's recent 3-4-4 stretch which has dropped them to within an earshot of the golf course. The funny thing is Savard didn't play in the Toronto game so figure that one out. He needs to get healthy and producing quick before fantasy owners lose faith in him, if they haven't already.
Marek Zidlicky (D) -- Nashville Predators
One little little assist in his last 6 games and a -4....spells fantasy doom for owners of Zidlicky. Truthfully a guy with Zidlicky's talent should be able to produce 50-60 points a season easily and at least score 10 goals but for whatever reason the past few seasons he has underperformed. Yet, that potential is what draws people to draft him. Right now, their only hope is that he goes on an assist binge because that is all fantasy owners can cling onto as far as hope here.
Well it is a big night of hockey...with Devils-Rangers, Sabres-Sens...and 6 more quality matchups....so enjoy all the playoff-like hockey!
