Yes it is the next to last Tuesday of the season. So just a quick note...there are quite a few big games tonight including the battle in New Jersey between the Penguins and Devils. No there won't be any Crosby but it seems the Pens are doing just okay without him.
The Flyers and Rangers battle on Versus....the Flyers are trying to climb off the bubble while the Rangers are trying to claw closer to the top of the Atlantic. A key matchup that will be on Versus though even I'm surprised the Pens-Devils game isn't...oh wait...Versus doesn't seem to be kind to the Devils anyway...so maybe it is just as well.
The Washington Capitals try to bolster their playoff hopes tonight in Carolina. Eric Staal is averaging around 2 points a game in his last 9...as he is almost guiding this team on sheer will along with just enough solid goaltending by Cam Ward. The Canes are hot despite the injuries but the Caps may be the more complete team with Huet, Backstrom, and that 60 goal scorer known as Ovechkin. One thing is for sure the winner tonight will go a long way in determining the Southeast.
Lastly there are the Canucks and Flames who are battling for the Northwest crown...you know the one that is more jammed than jelly right now. Kiprusoff Vs. Luongo and The Sedin twins Vs. Jarome Iginla....sounds like the makings of a WWE street fight...but no it is a hockey game and expected to be a good one.
So come on over to The NHL Arena tonight and rattle the boards...you won't regret it!
