It is time for another Battle Of The Blogosphere. This week we spotlight two blogs that are as venerable as they are revered. Up this week, we present Die By The Blade VS. Sean Leahy's Going Five Hole. Watch them drop the gloves and come out swinging.

Die By The Blade

Sean Leahy's Going Five Hole
Beer me! Die By The Blade has an excellent site that has a very streamlined design. Their comments and fanshots allow fans of the site a very unique ability and accessibility to be able to interact with the blogger. More importantly, David Olesky is a very well respected blogger in Buffalo circles. I do enjoy the interaction on the page. That is something you rarely see on blogs. It sometimes makes me thankful that I have a podcast and forum. That really helps!
Check out David's prospect analysis. This is top notch writing at its finest with a keen ability to be a fan without being overly subjective. He is also co-host of Beyond Buffalo Sports Radio. David has "it" as I would like to say. The ability to cover his team like no other. That is refreshing to say the least.
Then there is Sean Leahy. If you don't know Sean and his blog Going Five Hole...then you probably haven't been following hockey all that long but that's okay. Going Five Hole is a comprehensive NHL blog with a Pittsburgh-centric feel at times. Sean counters with his own prospects list (NHL-wide). The site has a simple two column feel as well which does focus the reader's attention on the blogs themselves.
Now Sean also moonlights over at Puck Daddy. BUT folks.....that does not matter here! This is strictly on Sean's Going Five Hole blog. There is the donation to the Mario Lemieux Charity Foundation as well. Now Sean has a fantasy columnist Chris Yarbrough who writes for Taking One For The Team. Also Chris writes for RotoTimes.com as well. Adding a fantasy component was a very interesting move that seems to have worked out for Sean as well as his appearances on The Faceoff Hockey Show and LCS Hockey Show.
So of course it is time for your vote. Go on over to The NHL Arena and vote on these two fine blogs. Your vote may just be the one that sends one of these fine blogs onward to the second round. The Battle Of The Blogosphere rages on.
