This one is a bit bittersweet folks. Today was an extremely long day of hockey drafting and podcasts that would have driven the normal person to an early grave. There were a few times where I did not think I was going to make it at all but somehow I did.

So I wanted to thank the four people that made it possible for this day to go as smoothly as possible.

4. Kevin Batts (Our Intern Kinda Sorta)

People can keep us sane at times and that is what Kevin does best. His lightheartedness really helped me out at times today and without that, it was going to be an even longer day that it already was. Great hockey advice and a great sport about things. You can't really ask for too much more. Big time props to the guy that make Thor famous...really...honest...it sounded good!

3. Mike P. (Hey we call him Pogo)

Mike always keeps thing interesting and on a day where I had so many drafts that I could have put fantasy hockey leagues out of bandwidth, he is what keeps things going. Add in a few touches of humor and some beer and you get a person that when times are tough....never backs down from anything. The challenge never matters...it is always nice to get the person that goes how can we make that work to our advantage. That is Mike.

2. Rick B. (The Professor)

We could not use Rick's full last name for fear of serious reprisals. In all honesty, it is just preference. But my trusty co-host is an asset of all assets. It is great to know that someone has that kind of hockey knowledge and is always there when you need them. A great feeling that is only matched by his propensity to drink. No wonder why it is like having a long lost brother in Buffalo. Always nice to have a friend that finishes your sentences especially on a podcast. Awesome job today no question!

1. My wife Dawn and family

Really quickly...they were the ones who supported me on this seemingly crazy idea. As the drafts mounted on Sunday, they knew what to expect and did not bother me at all when it came time to drafting. My teams basically received a ton of help because I was allowed to direct all my energy to drafting instead of having to worry about chasing a dog around the house or having to worry about making food of some sort. You cannot underestimate the power of just being able to get the job done. To my greatest supporters of my blog and podcast, there is no amount of thanks that are adequate. A family that I truly love dearly!!

Tomorrow we will have all our normal columns naturally and of course tune into the podcasts from tonight and I hope you enjoy them.

Oh a video by the way.......
