Wait for all the turkeys. Just be patient..they enter the video soon enough. This week we debut turkeys with color. Think easter eggs crossed with turkeys. Though it is a scary concept. We at The Program strive to bring you the most light-hearted of things before boom goes the dynamite. If one thinks we are kidding...then check out this week's turkeys.
Miikka Kiprusoff (G) -- Calgary Flames
Here you go again Kipper...ending up on this list in a new way. Going 2-1 in the last week....great. Giving up 15 goals in those three games...not so much!! There was that two week stretch of relative consistency. Well that has been replaced by recycled camel dung again. The sub .850 save percentage this week plus the shelling he received tonight (4 GA on 20 shots) is further indication that Kiprusoff is back to being the turkey once again.
Scott Gomez (C) -- New York Rangers
Sure this may be mean but I expected more out of him this season. So far, that has not really happened yet. But 2 points and a -4 in your last five games will get you on this list. Especially if you are expected to produce the way Gomez is supposed to. Now if you were expecting him to rebound this week....think again! Gomez is day to day with a leg injury. Really it is his ankle giving him trouble and it is more a pain issue than anything else. Hopefully he can get back to form in the near future. The Rangers do need him desperately and well fantasy GM's do as well.
Carey Price (G) -- Montreal Canadiens
Yes I know! I will take a little heat for this but hear me out!!! Price has not been that great of late. In three of his last four games, he has giving up 4 or more goals. Tonight he gave up six to Boston, including two to Marco Sturm. That just had to give a feeling of heartburn to every Habs fan. Now I am sure Price will correct this but damn he certainly deserved a spot in this week's Turkeys Of The Week. The funny thing is his save percentage was still .925. Well now maybe the law of averages caught up...time will tell!
