State Of The Program....

BallHype: hype it up!

My fellow readers, bloggers, writers, and anyone in between....I thank you for checking out our humble website in the last year. As the coyotes howl (not the Phoenix ones...the real ones), I wanted to just take the time to let you know where we have been and where we are headed in the next year. August is the perfect time to do this sort of thing. So we shall do it.

State Of The Program

Keep in mind that this is the Mel Brooks version of it...so we may or may not have omitted some minor or major details along the way. I can always blame the intern when all else fails there. Any rate here goes nothing.

Obviously the interviews on the podcast have been great. Probably is our calling card of sorts. Having people on like Ted Leonis tends to only help your podcast. Add in people like Russ Cohen, James Mirtle, Puck Daddy, Alanah from KK, and so many more and you get a fine cross section of the hockey world. Alas that is not good enough for our listeners and I realize that.

Our goal is to bring on some former players, current and former broadcasters, and much much more this year. Season 2 everyone. Sure season 1 was great but its like laying a foundation then realizing there is so much more to be done. Truthfully we cannot do it without you. This is why we appreciate all the help we have received for obvious reasons.

There will also be more conference calls that we are involved in and yes we will try to bring you detailed recaps of those too. Like I have said our goal from Day One is to cover hockey just a bit differently than everyone else. Sometimes it works really well and sometimes we may just be a wee bit off the mark. Either way it is never dull and you never know what will happen next especially on these calls.

The blog will also feature some possible interviews as we approach the season. This is a bit tentative right now but something that is being feverishly worked on as I type. Partnerships are being formed, connections are being made, and agreements are being forged. Maxhockey.com, fantasy sports ventures, and others are obviously on the docket for the Fall. I almost forgot a nice fantasy site named Fantasypros911.com as well.

Also....we are looking for people to do a variety of duties for the blog and podcast. If anyone is interested....by all means send me an email. The goal is to restructure things just a little so there can be a little more delegation. That way there is less confusion when things go wrong such as power failures, internet failures, and well illness too.

So with FanHuddle on the horizon....we are hoping for a nice seamless transition there and as we continue to grow...our listeners and readers will grow with us. Thanks once again for coming along on the ride and hopefully The Program meets your expectations and then exceeds them in the coming year.

Sincerely,

Chris Wassel
