BallHype: hype it up!

We may have to bring back the circus music for the Tampa Bay Lightning as today they bought out the contract of Vaclav Prospal. Now this time they seem to have too many defensemen and not enough forwards. JUST when we were praising the Lightning on their relatively good summer and now they go and do this fine maneuver err not so fine.

Also as a part of acquired learning....Tampa has done screwy things like this in the past when players will not waive their NTC's. Just ask Dan Boyle sometime. Last summer we went over many times on how Tampa kept signing forward after forward and obviously that depth has vanished and keeps shrinking. Will Marty St. Louis go next? Not saying he will....but never say never with the Bolts. Everyone knows what happened with Jussi Jokinen last year and that was a fiasco that proved to be detrimental to the Boston Bruins and New Jersey Devils. Only Tampa could let one player make that kind of impact.

I really just wonder about this franchise.....though not the next Phoenix...they have a crisis of a different proportion. Think about all the move and change in Tampa then the almost reshuffling, the line of credit mess, the Lecavalier saga, and a myriad of other stories that take away from the product on the ice. There really is just something that gets my blood boiling about this team and at the same time I cannot help to laugh at it. I know I never should. Its not professional and yet I find myself chuckling again at this travishamockery.

Furthermore to me at least the Barrie, Koules, Lawton triangle of death needs to be stopped. This is a situation that is not working, is getting worse, and the NHL is too busy worried about Phoenix to effectively put an end to this jokefest. Tomorrow night on the podcast I will definitely play the circus music once again in honor of the Tampa Bay Lightning for their amazing ability to elevate stupidity to a whole new art form.

Maybe Ross McKeon was on to them after all when he said they were one of the principal teams that should be contracted. Though I would not go that far...they seriously need a checkup from the neck up.
