Finally April is here! It just could not come soon enough. Well we have lots of big things going on this month. Most importantly the NHL Playoffs start on April 15th...to me at least the BEST postseason tournament of the four major sports. But hey first we have to get there.....right?
April Fools Day kicks the month off and naturally we will pull some pranks on here....we always do! If we did not, people would think we were too straight laced or something. Since that cannot happen....there will be several little pranks that will be up during the day. See if you can spot them and then on the podcast at night...there will be a few more.
With eleven days to go in the regular season....who will make the playoffs? Well yesterday, we revealed the teams we felt were in...as far as the Eastern Conference. Next Wednesday or sooner....the West will be unveiled. Also in a partnership with Ballhype...I will unveil my winner for the Hart Trophy and runners up in the next week or so. Look for that on the Ballhype site...a great site indeed.
The podcast will also heat up with several big name guests and the return of the almighty Spectors just in time for the playoffs....who knows maybe we can get the Puck Daddy and David Pagnotta guy too. Time will tell on that. There is also a possibility that the podcast may start earlier on Wednesdays so that we can bring you playoff action AS IT HAPPENS!! There is nothing like hearing it live and that is our goal only on The Program With Chris, Rick, And Mike!
Just as a side note....April 13th we will have a special podcast at 8pm ET. Come one and come all....as we have a special playoff preview and an impromptu birthday celebration. One can only hope no cake will be thrown at the birthday boy. This will be a special two hour show with as many callers as we can possibly cram in. So if you think your team has a shot....we want you to voice your opinion and loud! Bring the funny and the knowledge!
Ryan will be cranking out his Morning Skate with special Playoff Editions come the middle of the month. I am curious to see what he predicts as I will be cranking out series predictions and previews and much more! April is BUSY big time and we are going to have you covered all on The Program.
If that is not enough...our cast of characters will also be hitting hard...delivering the goods with extra coverage and of course some Frozen Four action as well! We always appreciate input and suggestions and thanks to the readers.....the anticipated expansion come August is a full on GO...and without the listeners....that would not be possible.
