10. Jack Campbell G (USA NTDP)
Campbell is the best available goaltender. He led the Americans to the Gold Medal at the Under-18 Championships in April where he had a .75 goals-against-average and a .967 save percentage in five contests. He posted a 2.17 goals against-average and a .916 save percentage with the Under-17 team in 28 games. With the Under-18 team, he posted a 1.71 gaa and a .940 save percentage.
9. Victor Öhman F (Malmo)
One of Sweden's best players in the 1992 age group. Last season in the Swedish U-20 league he had 14 goals and 23 assists in 30 games. He played in ten games with Malmo's senior club in the Allsvenskan, the league below the Swedish Elite League. He recorded an assist during his time. Eliteprospects describes him as a "Fairly good scoring touch and a very good playmaker."
8.Erik Gudbranson D (Kingston Frontenacs)
The first defenseman on my list. As a 16-year-old rookie he had three goals and 19 assists in 63 games. He was one of the few underagers on Canada's Under 18 team at the Under-18 Championships. He held his own by adding a goal and three assists.
7. Stanislav Galiev F (Undecided)
It's not too common for Europeans, especially Russians to play in the USHL. Unless your name is Thomas Vanek, you don't dominate the USHL. Galiev ignored the standards and ripped up the USHL with the USHL Champions, the Indiana ICE. He had 25 goals and 35 assists. He was drafted 1st by the Saint John Sea Dogs in the CHL Import Draft.
6. Brett Connelly F (Prince George Courgars)
No list can't leave the CHL and WHL Rookie of the Year off the list. He put up 30 goals for a total of 60 points in 65 games. He continued his scoring tear with Team Canada at the Under-18 Championships. He had three goals and three assists in Fargo.
5. Mikael Granlund F (HIFK)
One of my favorite players for this draft. He dominated all the junior levels he played this season. He made the Finnish U-20 league his own personal playground. He had 21 goals and 36 assists. He had two goals and 11 assists in six games at the U-18's in April as an underager. He notched two goals and assist in six games at the World Junior Championships. He appeared in two games for HIFK's Sm-Liiga team.
4. Krill Kabanov F (Undecided)
Probably Russia's most talented player for the upcoming draft. He played for Spartak Moskva's second team for most of last season. He also played in six games for Spartak Moskva in the KHL. He had four goals and seven assists in seven games for Russia at the U-18's. Moncton selected him in the CHL Import Draft last week.
3. Brandon Gormley D (Moncton Wildcats)
All the hype for the 2010 draft for defensemen has been Cam Fowler. Brandon Gormley is probably the best 1992 born defenseman in North America (Fowler is 1991 born). In his rookie season, he had seven goals and 20 assists in 62 games. He would have been on Team Canada at the U-18's if the Wildcats bowed out of the playoffs earlier then they did.
2. Cam Fowler D (Windsor Spitfires)
After spending the last two seasons with the US National Team Development Program, he crosses the river into Windsor for the 09-10 season. He had 8 goals and added 40 assists in 48 games during the regular season for the U-18 team. At the Worlds, he had a goal and seven assists in seven games. He would have been a top five pick for the 2009 draft if he was eligible.
1. Taylor Hall F (Windsor Spitfires)
Like Fowler, Hall has a late 91 birthdate. Once again he had a dominating year in the OHL. After putting up 84 points including 49 goals as a 16 year old, he followed up with 38 goals and 52 assists. He was also the MVP of the Memorial Cup. He also had a lot more fire power to work with this season. He's number one on most people's list.

Hey, cool blog. Good looking list for 2010. But...you forgot one pretty big name...John McFarland. Maybe you did it on purpose? But in my mind he is either #2 or #3.
john isnt in the top ten sorry
Good stuff, Nathan, made sure to link you today.
He's not Erik Gudbranson, he's Greatbranson. (That was terrible, I'm so sorry.)
Windsor may have 3 in the top 10 and 5 in the first round. But it wouldn't be PC to mention them.
