Well that was quick! Curtis Glencross has been suspended three games by the NHL for his hit on Chris Drury Saturday Night in Calgary. For a refresher course on the hit...we present to you the following video.
Glencross pays for stupidity....
Really this could not have been any more cut and dry. Glencross clearly hits Drury who does not have the puck. It was not even close. The more I see this sort of thing...the more animated I get. How hard is it to use a little common sense on the ice? If you don't think you are like a loaded weapon out there..you have another thing coming.
Hopefully it never takes someone getting seriously hurt on the ice to cause change but unfortunately for the NHL...I have the feeling it will. Drop the trapezoid, drop the instigator and maybe just maybe this game will do just a little bit better. See where all the tinkering has got us NHL? Yes thank you.
