In a tough back-to-back situation, Harding came up big for the Wild notching his first shutout of the year.

Sharks fans witnessed ‘Brouwer Power’ as he scored two nice goals to propel the ‘Hawks in the big showdown.
3. Anze Kopitar, LA (2 Goals)
Kopitar’s pair of goals helped the Kings win their 4th in a row.
Honorable Mention: B. Elliott, J. Slater, J. Pavelski, M. Cullen, R. Smyth, C. Mason

Records:
Overall:
Predators (29-20-3) … Red Wings (25-19-9)
Last Ten: Predators (4-6-0) … Red Wings (3-4-3)
Away/Home: Predators (15-10-2) … Red Wings (14-8-4)
Season Series: 1-0-1 Predators

Players to watch:
NSH- Shea Weber

The team needs Weber to have a strong two-way game tonight.
DET- Pavel Datsyuk
Datsyuk has really turned it on recently, and usually plays well vs. Nashville.

Projected Goaltenders:
NSH- Dan Ellis
(09/10 stats: 11-10-1, 2.59 GAA)
DET- Jimmy Howard (09/10 stats: 18-11-5, 2.30 GAA)

Injury Report:
NSH-
Joel Ward (groin, doubtful), Marcel Goc (upper body, out)
DET- Johan Franzen (knee, out), Tomas Holmstrom (foot, out), Brad Stuart (shoulder, questionable), Andreas Lilja (head, out)

Game Thoughts:
Barry Trotz’s Predators head to the Motor City for the first time this season in an unfamiliar position – ahead of Detroit in the standings. This is a critical game, and both will have ‘must-win’ mentalities tonight. The Preds will have to get solid play out of the special teams to end the losing streak, while the Wings would like to get up early. Nashville’s offense is sputtering right now, so I’m leaning towards Detroit.
Prediction: Red Wings 3, Predators 2 (SO)

The rest of tonight’s predictions:

Devils over Maple Leafs
Capitals over Panthers
Sabres over Bruins
Ducks over Lightning
Stars over Avalanche
