Devils Get The "Metro" Treatment Again

The New Jersey Devils, last I checked are the only team in the tri-state area to be in the playoffs already.  They may be the only one when all is said and done.  Yet tonight the Devils are relegated to MSG2.  So where will NJ be playing if you are in the area and looking for the game?  Here is is.

So for example I have to tune to Channel 23 and hope like the Dickens that the game is actually on.  With cable's track record of late with blackouts, power outages, and signal disruptions, I am almost starting to wonder why did I ditch the Dish?  For those say go to Verizon Fios, I say no way in Hades after fighting with Verizon for a credit on my phone bill.  Its been 3 months and still no check.  Hopefully no one from Verizon is reading this but if they are please mail the check.  Thank you.

By the way, the Rangers and Islanders happily play on MSG and MSG+ so we can watch both of their feeds.  Now this is an understood practice I know but I still think there should be a rule in place as far as showcasing the best talent there and that is the NJ Devils much to the chagrin of the other two area teams.

No matter how this comes across, it is going to sound like sour grapes, I acknowledge that.  However, the Devils were subjected to "THE METRO CHANNEL" 20-25 times a year for several years because they were being "showcased".  Obviously the definition of being showcased is kind of skewed if you cannot see the game.  All I ask for is that the game is on tonight.  Let us say a prayer:

Lord in this fine hour
Let us hear thy name
For we are Devil fans
Who just want to see our team
On a channel where we can actually see it
And where no Ranger or Islander games are on this night.

Give us this day our daily bread
As we forgive James Dolan
For what he has done
But still give him a nut punch anyway.
