Origins Of The Referee Apocalypse

Here comes Part 1 of our four part (I mean 8 part) series. This will be done over 4 weeks and technically be 8 posts. Part 1 will have two separate and distinct posts. So today and then on Thursday, we will try and post what we think are the origins of this potential apocalypse. This will be based at least on events that have actually happened and then what he speculate on will only be based on what we think MAY happen. That is the key here ladies and gentlemen. This does not mean this will occur but there is always a potential.

Just take a look at what is going on with the NHLPA. We did correctly predict that and also the fact that Jim Balsillie is secretly plotting in the weeds so to speak. Keep in mind also that some of these events are objectionable to the beholder. Not everyone agrees in the voracity or accuracy of the following claims. Now is the time to present some of the video evidence of some of the worst we have seen in the last 30 years or so.

Now we know that there have been many other calls....the Crease Rule in the 97 playoffs....the 99 Stanley Cup Finals Game 6 and so many more and even the Penguins skating around for a minute in the Stanley Cup Finals against the Red Wings. We understand that the refs are human but at the same time there has to be better accountability. Right now, that does not exist in the NHL as in other sports.

What we want to know here on the blog is what is the worst call you have seen against your favorite team. It may even be investigated a bit more by us and may appear on this ref apocalypse expose.
