My NCAA Hockey Bracket

Here’s my bracket for the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

Fort Wayne Region

1.Miami vs. 4. Alabama-Huntsville
2.Bemidji State vs. 3. Michigan

People already drooling the possible second round match-up between the CCHA powers. Don’t count out Bemidji State as they are having a great year. If you have no rooting interests, root for Alabama-Huntsville, with the CHA conference disbanding after the season, they have no conference next season and could lose their team.

1.Miami
vs. Michigan

I just think Miami Miami will pull through they have been the better team all season.

Worcester Region

1.Boston College vs. 4. Alaska-Fairbanks
2.North Dakota vs. 3. Yale

I think BC has an easy first game, but I think UND-Yale will be a very good game

1.Boston College vs. North Dakota

Another great game, but BC wins on basically home turf.

Saint Paul Region

1.Wisconsin
vs. 4. Vermont
2. St. Coud State vs. 3. Northern Michigan

Wisconsin looks like one of the teams to beat going in. They should have no trouble versus Vermont. I am picking an upset of sorts with Northern Michigan.

1.Wisconsin vs. Northern Michigan

I think Wisconsin rolls into the Frozen Four.

Albany Region

1.Denver vs. 4. RIT
2.Cornell vs 3.New Hampshire

Denver has been one of the top teams all year long but have struggled late in the year. Cornell is a strong team and New Hampshire hasn’t played in a little bit.

1.Denver vs. 2. Cornell

The game will be 1-0 with the two goaltenders in this game and I think Cornell pulls it out.

Frozen Four

1.Miami vs. 1. Boston College

I think John Muse will find his game for the Eagles after letting 6 goals against Maine Saturday night. I just like how BC’s offense is clicking right now.

1.Wisconsin
vs. 2. Cornell

The Badgers get pay back from the basketball loss this past weekend. I think Wisconsin has more depth which will lead to victory.

National Championship

1.Wisconsin
vs. Boston College

This should be fun to watch but you have to take Wisconsin’s veteran defensemen over Boston College’s young group of freshmen. I could see it being a 6-4 type of game.
